2027 GMC Denali: You need a new pickup truck for your daily commute. Whether it’s work, a hobby, or both, it requires a pickup truck bed, all-wheel drive, a big engine, and solid towing power. That’s what you need, but let’s talk about what you want. You want a luxury vehicle that makes you feel like a VIP every time you drive it, with all the power you could ever want.

We should embrace the small victories we can in life, and if you drive a lot, you deserve to treat yourself to a truly enjoyable truck cabin. If you spend a lot of time on the road, your truck’s cabin should be a place you enjoy, and the GMC Sierra/Yukon’s cabin is that place.

2027 GMC Denali Review

Taste is undeniable, but incredible power doesn’t compromise the comfort, convenience, and luxury that will enhance your long-distance driving experience to various places in your daily life. Welcoming the new year with a multitude of new features, you should take a look at this latest GMC model with enthusiasm because its luxurious Denali and Denali Ultimate trims are loaded with features that might just make your truck’s cabin your favorite place. Let’s learn what makes these trims stand out.

One of the Denali Ultimate’s standout features is its exceptional seating position. These seats might even outshine your favorite recliner in the living room. Equipped with heating, adjustment, ventilation, and automatic massage, these seats are designed to provide maximum comfort during long trips. When you’re not uncomfortable, you can focus on the road and even enjoy the ride.

What to Expect

We expect the 2027 GMC Yukon to be a completely redesigned vehicle, likely an EV, although GM hasn’t confirmed that yet. The Yukon was last updated in 2025, when it received upgrades both inside and out. We expect the 2027 model to have a completely new look and feel, especially if there’s an EV variant.

The all-new 2027 GMC Yukon will feature a completely new look, including a new grille and front fascia, new headlights, and a slightly sleeker appearance. We expect design changes to the body of this large three-row SUV, and the tailgate will also get a new style. We expect new taillights, connected by a thin light strip at the top or center of the tailgate.

Inside, we expect GMC to continue the premium luxury feel they established with their last update, which brought a premium 16.8-inch GMC Infotainment Center as the centerpiece of the interior. This system allows drivers to customize their driving experience, and we expect it to also be the centerpiece of the new cabin. In 2025, GMC expanded its interior sophistication with the Denali Ultimate and AT4 Ultimate trims. We expect a similar treatment for the 2027 model year.

2027 GMC Denali Report

The 2027 GMC Denali will be a new and fully hybrid PHEV Plus model, as General Motors is seeing a surge in electric vehicle sales – they have been setting record EV sales overall for the past few months. However, there is still room for improvement, which is why they are launching models like the 2026 GMC Hummer EV, which now boasts up to 1,160 horsepower!

As for the Ice-powered models, they’re all either new or updated—the small Terrain, the mid-size Acadia, the powerful Yukon and Yukon XL, and the Canyon and Sierra trucks. However, that also means the company may soon be launching new generations of its best-selling brands.

For example, rumors are already circulating about what the sixth-generation GMC Yukon and Yukon XL SUVs might look like with full body kits – and of course, the imaginative members of the digital car content creators guild aren’t dwelling on the parallel world of CGI vehicles, but are helping them imagine what the new models might look like.

2027 GMC Sierra Denali & Denali Ultimate

Right now, you might want to be in a Denali. For some, a luxury vehicle is like a second home. Every aspect of your driving experience is enhanced, and this vehicle meets every need. GMC remains committed to extending this experience to pickup truck drivers. From seating position to climate control to the audio experience, you can fine-tune and customize everything to your liking. If you can’t cut back on your daily driving, you can make that time much more enjoyable with the Sierra 1500 Denali and Denali Ultimate.

2027 GMC Denali

In the Denali, you’ll get 12-way power adjustment in the front seats and 16-way in the Denali Ultimate. Why is adjustability important? Well, it affects how well you see the road ahead and how comfortably you hold the steering wheel. It affects the distance between your feet and the pedals (no one likes to bend their knees too much or stretch them out to drive) and the angle of your back and legs. So adjustability makes a big difference: you’ll notice the difference if you frequently experience leg pain while driving for extended periods. While competing models tend to excel at eight-way or ten-way adjustability, the Denali and Denali Ultimate outperform them.

Next, there’s the massage feature, which comes standard exclusively on the Denali Ultimate. Forget paying anywhere from $60 to $200 per hour for a massage—get one free every time you hop in your Denali Ultimate! You can adjust the massage type and intensity for a truly pleasurable massage while driving. If there’s one thing that can help reduce road rage, it’s probably a good massage, right?

Finally, there’s heating and ventilation. Once you experience them, you’ll never go back to a vehicle without them, especially if you live in a place with extreme temperatures. The air coming out of the front vents just isn’t enough. Imagine those frigid days when you feel chilly; now imagine sitting in a seat that warms your thighs and back. Imagine those hot days when you dread getting out of a hot car seat; that won’t happen if your front seats are ventilated.

Not only that, the Bose 12-Speaker Premium Sound System with Centerpoint Surround Sound

The content you listen to on your commute to work can change your mood. From the right playlist to an inspiring podcast, what we listen to affects our mood and motivation, as does how we listen to it. In Denali Ultimate, you can enjoy your favorite audio on a stunning 12-speaker Bose premium sound system with Centerpoint surround sound, a Bose technology that automatically transforms your music into distinct audio channels emanating from the twelve speakers around you.

This technology adds significant depth to the sound and creates a fully immersive audio experience where you can hear songs, podcasts, audiobooks, and more from every inch of your vehicle.

Of course, I love this technology because I can’t stand outside noise interrupting what I’m listening to. When I’m deep in a playlist or engrossed in an audiobook, I just want to be in the moment and not be distracted by the sound of a lawnmower on the sidewalk. Centerpoint’s surround sound truly transports me to another place, and sometimes, after a long day, that’s just what you need. No more people in your truck complaining about not being able to hear what the podcast host just asked their guest!

Then, the addition of Super Cruise Hands-Free Driver Assistance Technology

This is perhaps one of the most valuable luxury features for long trips. Constant maneuvering on long trips—moving your foot from the accelerator to the brake pedal and constantly making small adjustments to stay in your lane—can be exhausting for those of us who drive for hours.

If you feel that way, you’ll love Super Cruise. It’s GMC’s hands-free driving technology that uses real-time footage from precisely placed cameras, GPS, LiDAR map data, and sensors to monitor your current speed, road position, curves in the road, and surrounding vehicles to handle acceleration, deceleration, and even lane changes for you!

Super Cruise will even initiate lane changes so you can maintain your desired speed. So, let’s say you’ve set your desired speed at 65 mph, but the car in front of you is traveling at 60 mph. Super Cruise will find a safe time to change lanes and pass the slower driver in front of you. Your hands don’t even need to be on the wheel for this; all you need to do is keep your eyes on the road.

If not, the driver attention system will issue a few commands to get you back on the road. Can you imagine how much better it would be if your car did the driving for you? The great thing is that Super Cruise works on hundreds of thousands of roads across North America, so wherever you’re going, you can probably take your hands off the wheel for a while.

2027 GMC Denali Redesign

The good folks at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube also have a satellite location called AutoYa Interior, and that’s where all the (CGI) GMC action is currently taking place. The channel’s hosts are familiar with the GMC Yukon’s pedigree, but along with their resident virtual artist, they’re ready to share with us an unofficial, hypothetical 2027 or 2028 GMC Yukon Denali design project.

2027 GMC Denali

The fifth-generation Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, and their Caddy Escalade and ESV siblings were first announced in December 2019 with the launch of the Chevy Tahoe, followed by the GMC Yukon in January 2020, and its premium Caddy Escalade sibling in February. Since then, all three lineups have undergone mid-cycle refreshes for the 2025 model year, featuring subtle exterior changes and significant interior and technology upgrades.

Unfortunately, rumors are circulating that General Motors is ready to launch the sixth-generation GMC Yukon as soon as the 2027 or 2028 model year, and they believe the US automaker could even introduce a new hybrid and/or plug-in hybrid engine. By the way, these renderings should be taken with skepticism as they are completely unofficial.

2027 GMC Denali

The canal’s built-in pixel master hasn’t changed much in profile, so this could be a second facelift. Instead, the rugged Yukon and Yukon XL with Denali trim feature a new front fascia with slimmer, now separate headlights, plus new foglights, bumpers, and a new radiator grille. Inside, the updated cockpit of the current model is a bit more modest and luxurious.

More specifically, the digital instrument cluster now sits atop a cleaner, leather-trimmed dashboard, with car-like trim also appearing on the center console, while the central infotainment system’s display remains largely unchanged. Furthermore, the CGI expert quickly compared his digital creation to the current model and also gave the mocked-up GMC Yukon a host of new colors, both inside and out.

2027 GMC Yukon Engine & Specs

With the next GMC Yukon likely to feature an EV powertrain, we’re not sure what will power the massive vehicle. The current version comes with a choice of engines, including a 5.3L V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, and a 6.2L V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

There’s also a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel option, offering 3.5 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. We expect some version of this engine to be available in the 2027 model year, unless the lineup is EV-only. If so, we expect the 2027 Yukon to use the same technology as the GMC Sierra EV or Hummer EV.

2027 GMC Yukon Safety

GMC’s flagship Yukon boasts a wide array of safety technologies, including front pedestrian and cyclist braking, rear cross-traffic braking, side cyclist warning, automatic emergency braking at intersections, a following distance indicator, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, front and rear parking sensors, and an HD rearview camera. In 2025, the Yukon will gain optional advanced safety technologies, including Night Vision and thermal object detection. We expect these features to become standard at a later date.

2027 GMC Yukon Price

There’s no information yet on the starting price of the 2027 GMC Yukon, although we expect the redesign and possible EV variant will raise the price. The current Yukon starts at $60,195 including freight. We expect the c.

The GMC Yukon competes with other large three-row SUVs such as the Lincoln Navigator, Chevy Suburban, Toyota 4Runner, and Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

2027 GMC Yukon Release Date

Yukon vehicles tend to arrive later in the year, so we expect the 2027 GMC Yukon to arrive in November or December 2026. We’ll update this page as soon as more information becomes available.

Verdict

The 2027 GMC Denali and Yukon redefine what it means to drive in luxury — combining bold power, next-generation technology, and exceptional comfort for everyday performance and prestige.
