2023 GMC Yukon General Motors’ GMC division is known for its commercial vehicles and work trucks, but the Yukon 2023 is one of the most accommodating and luxurious passenger vehicles in the brand’s history.

2023 GMC Yukon Review
The new Denali Ultimate trim joins the Yukon lineup for 2023 and features more luxurious Alpine Umber leather upholstery, massager-adjustable 16-way front seats, open-pore wood trim, and an 18-speaker Bose stereo system, among other things. other.

The new Denali Ultimate trim sees major changes on the inside where the trim features nicer leather upholstery, massaged front seats, Paldao wood trim, and a map of Mount Denali engraved on the dashboard.
On the tech front, we don’t expect to see any changes to the GMC Yukon 2023. This massive SUV will continue to come with a 10.2-inch touchscreen, six USB ports, Bluetooth, six audio speakers, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster.
Available features include navigation, a Bose audio system, and a dual-screen rear seat entertainment system.
Things should remain the same under the hood for the Yukon 2023. The standard engine is expected to be a 5.3-liter V8 producing 355 horsepower. There is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel engine and a 6.2-liter V8 engine available.
The diesel has 277 hp, while the larger V8 makes 420 hp. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard for all three engines. If properly equipped, this SUV can tow up to 8,400 pounds.
Standard safety features for the upcoming Yukon are not expected to change. This SUV will continue to come with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane guard assistance, lane departure warning and parking sensors.
Available safety features will include automatic reverse emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear traffic warning, heads-up display, surround-view parking camera, rear pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control.

2023 GMC Yukon Redesign
The GMC Yukon 2023 is the third model year for the current fifth-generation full-size SUV, debuting with a selection of changes and updates compared to the previous 2022 model year. Now, GM Authority has found out when regular production for the 2023 GMC Yukon is scheduled to begin.
One of the most impactful changes introduced by the GMC Yukon 2023 is the debut of the Yukon Denali Ultimate trim level.
Framed as “the most premium Yukon ever offered,” the Yukon Denali Ultimate is equipped with a choice of exterior and interior upgrades, the former including unique 22-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels and Vader Chrome trim, while the latter includes Alpine Full grain leather upholstery, wood grain trim.
Paldao, and the optional GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance system. Please note, that the GMC Yukon 2023 will not be available to order with the GM Super Cruise system at the start of regular production.
Another notable update for the 2023 model year is the removal of three exterior paint options, namely Satin Steel Metallic, Hunter Metallic, and Cayenne Red Tintcoat.
Instead, the GMC Yukon 2023 will introduce four new colors, including Titanium Rush Metallic, Frosted Pine Metallic, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, and Sterling Metallic.
For the oily part, the GMC Yukon is offered with three engine options, including a naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 petrol engine, producing 355 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 383 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm, and 6.2L naturally aspirated.
The V8 L87 petrol engine produces 420 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, produces 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 RPM. Providing the foundation is the GM T1 platform.
2023 GMC Yukon Interior
Available in a variety of flavors—from the basic spec SLE to the deluxe Denali Ultimate—the long-wheelbase Yukon and Yukon XL promise seating for up to eight passengers, although booking the popular second-row captain’s seat lowers the total seating capacity to seven.
The Denali model offers a unique interior design with a wooden dashboard and hand-stitched leather seats.
The new power sliding center console is available in SLT and AT4 models (standard on Denali) and allows the driver to move the center console back and forth through a 10-inch track to make room for larger first-line cargo such as a wallet or backpack and store other small items. so as not to be seen in hidden cabinets.
Cargo capacity is huge, especially in the larger XL model, which offers a maximum cargo space of 145 cubic feet with all the seats stowed away. That’s more than its cross-town rival, the Ford Expedition Max (which has 122 cubic feet behind the front row).

All Yukon models come with large infotainment screens with GMC’s latest infotainment interface and we found the system easy to use.
The SLE, SLT, and AT4 models feature a screen that stands upright in the center of the dashboard, but the Denali is surrounded by bright chrome and embedded in the dashboard for a more sophisticated look. Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration and a Wi-Fi hotspot are all standard equipment; Bose navigation and audio systems are both optional features.
2023 GMC Yukon Engine
Similar to the last-generation Yukon, two V-8 engines are offered: a 355-hp 5.3-liter and a 420-hp 6.2-liter. In addition to the petrol engine, GMC also offers a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six that produces 460 pound-feet of torque and is an option for buyers looking to tow heavy goods.
All models come with a 10-speed automatic transmission which is operated by buttons on the dashboard and offers rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
An off-road-oriented AT4 model is also available and features a two-speed transfer case, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates and an optional air suspension capable of offering up to two more inches of ground clearance.
When we tested the Denali model loaded with a 6.2 liter V-8, we clocked 6.0 seconds from zero to 60 mph and noted a significant improvement in braking performance over the last generation model.

2023 GMC Yukon MPG
The Yukon isn’t particularly fueled efficient, but it does slightly better in town than the last-generation model. The Yukons equipped with the smaller 5.3-liter V-8 is the most efficient petrol-powered model and is rated at 16 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.

2023 GMC Yukon Release Date
According to GM Authority sources, the start of regular production for the 2023 GMC Yukon is scheduled to begin on July 18, 2022. Production will once again take place at GM’s Arlington plant in Texas.
